Cullercoats Bay is a small blue flag sandy bay popular with geordie families featuring caves nestled in the surrounding cliffs in the centre of the bay which was in times gone by a thriving fishing harbour providing shelter for more than 150 fishing boats.
The bay is also home to the RNLI lifeboat station which still plays an active part in this small North Tyneside seaside community.
The following photos and slideshow shows some excellent views of this popular North Tyneside bay and beach.
