Geordie Pop Stars
Welcome To The Geordie Pop Stars Section – Our Homage To The Geordie Wannabe Pop Stars
This is probably not what you were expecting when you searched for the words Geordie Pop Stars or clicked on the link in the Geordie humour and entertainment menu bar.
It’s actually a tribute to those Geordies who became famous for something else (usually football) and then decided, for one reason or another, to try to make it in the world of pop music.
That’s not to cast aspersions on their ability (why would we?) its just that as a way of chronicling something different this seemed like a good idea at the time, which is possibly what the following Geordies thought when they decided to do the recordings.
All done in the best possible taste and with a tongue firmly implanted into the cheek
Enjoy !!
First up is one of the most famous Geordies of all time Paul “Gazza” Gascoigne who entertained us with Fog onthe Tyne & Geordie boys
Next up pop pickers is a certain Geordie Messiah, Mr Kevin Keegan who was “Head Over Heels In Love” in 1979.
Geordie born Chris Waddle takes us for a twirl along with ex England manager Glen Hoddle who were tripping the “Diamond Lights” fantastic.
Lastly is the debut single from one of the Geordies adopted sons Andy Cole, who was quite simply “Outstanding“ when he played for Newcastle United
