Geordie Sports Introduction

Welcome to the newly updated Geordie Sports section which is brought to you as part of the Geordie websites directory.

This new section will now allow visitors to add their own comments to our information and updates.

We will provide you with information and links to websites about Geordie sporting heroes, sporting institutions, sports websites and sporting events that Geordies both past and present have been and are involved in.

The links are laid out in a A-Z format for your convenience and will be updated on a regular basis as we discover more Geordie sports orientated websites, web links and video clips showing Geordie sportsmen & sportswomen who are succeeding in their respective football, cricket & athletics (to name but a few) fields.

The success of the Great North Run from Newcastle to South Shields in which 54000 ran in the last event and has now reached over a million participants, helps to strengthen the fact that Geordies continue to have a passion for sport at all levels.

With the next Olympics coming to Great Britain in 2012 we genuinely hope that the examples and information that is available in our sporting sections will perhaps spur a new generation of Geordie sports stars who can further enhance the excellent reputation of Geordie sportsmen and women.

You can view our various sports pages via the top menu bar and any new posts via  the side menu bar.
