Return to Geordie History

Geordie Monuments & Statues – We Will Remember Them

Geordie’s absolutely treasure their cultural past which can be seen by the many statues and monuments erected around the City of Newcastle Upon Tyne and it’s surrounding towns & villages.

They also love to celebrate and remember the good deeds done by so many of the heroic people who sacrificed their lives in the past, to help secure the future of their own Geordie Communities, families and descendants.

This year we especially remember Armistice Day in the North East which is on the 11th November and marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918.

The following video does a brilliant job of highlighting many of those sacrifices.
