As part of the Tyne & Wear Heritage Open Days running between Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th September 2013 many public buildings, churches and historic venues in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Gateshead, Tyneside, Durham & many parts of Northumberland are preparing to throw open their doors to the local community & tourists alike, for free.
Highlights include some of Geordieland’s most historic icons including the very rare opportunity to view rarely seen rooms, normally closed parts of buildings and historic hidden Geordie gems.
