Tim Healy & Denise Welch Star As Sir Bobby & Lady Elsie Robson

Geordie actor Tim Healy his wife, Geordie actress Denise Welch have starred as Sir Bobby and Lady Elsie Robson in a short fictional drama set after Maradona’s so-called ‘Hand of God’ goal 25 years ago when England missed out on a place in the 1986 World Cup semi-final in Mexico, devastating the team and its Geordie manager.

With flashbacks to the match itself the BBC radio show Don’t Cry For Me Maradona (opens in BBC IPlayer) looks at how Sir Bobby Robson, a true gentlemen of football coped after the World Cup.
