Relentless charity fund raiser and Geordie, Tony The Fridge who uses extreme feats of physical endurance to raise awareness and money in the battle against cancer.
He describes himself as “an ordinary man doing extra-ordinary things”
However what this amazing Geordie from South Tyneside does is anything other than ordinary, because, he raises money for charities including the Bobby Robson Foundation, by carrying a fridge on his back.
One previous amazing local feat was running the Great North Run 30 times in 30 days with the inevitable fridge on his back.
Now this famous Geordie is going to attempt in aid of Cancer Research UK, to run 4 Marathons in one day with a 42kg Smeg Fridge on his back, which he says is “to symbolise the huge burden we all feel, if a loved one is struck down by this awful disease” … read more and find out how to donate here

I’m bonkers. I wanted to do something that would put smiles on people’s faces, but it’s a bit bonkers isn’t it? I’m not a super athlete, am just a bloke who’s up for a laugh & got a bit of Geordie grit, it’s already put smiles on a lot of faces, so that’s good.
